AGES since my last post. I've been reflecting on my work and need to record some of the thoughts before they drift away again. This year has offered so much to learn from, and I've had little time to record any of the learning (except in the confines of the GTCS profile page).
I'm writing S2 reports - CfEstyle - and it is a huge piece of work. What I've realised is that I need a better system for recording e.g. talk, or informal group discussion. That way when it comes to report time I have a bank of observations ready to use or to adapt come parents evening time.
Other thought; Edmodo (an educational social network site) use is interesting. I think it works better when the whole class is signed up and it isn't a choice. S2 all signed up and have engaged with it fairly well. I intend to make that the route for homework for the media unit we are just starting. The Int 2 class have a few sign ups, but no-one has used it at all or posted anything. Too shy / cool. They tell me they have used the links and I know they get alerts when I post stuff so perhaps its more used than I know. Perhaps there is away to see how often it is viewed.
Anyway, that's my thoughts for the day. Need to write reports now.
